Vision
We envision a time when gifted and talented students are provided with appropriate opportunities for intellectual challenge, growth, and emotional support and when those associated with the gifted appreciate, understand, and nurture their unique talents and needs.
Goals
We will
v share and promote effective techniques for understanding and providing for the special needs of the gifted and talented in educational, home, and social environments;
v provide and enhance networks between and among educators, parents, and other advocates for gifted children;
v raise public awareness of the curricular and social/emotional needs of gifted and talented students;
v provide an audience for gifted and talented students; and
v inspire, renew, and refresh conference participants.
