Connecticut Association for the Gifted
Our mission is to provide an organization for Educators, Psychologists, Parents, Policy Makers, and others to learn about the unique educational and affective needs of gifted and talented children and how to meet these needs effectively in our schools, families, and communities. It recognizes that gifted children come from all cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and have diverse abilities and interests. SENG - Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted
SENG is dedicated to fostering environments in which gifted adults and children, in all their diversity, understand and accept themselves and are understood, valued, nurtured, and supported by their families, schools, workplaces and communities. AEGUS - Association for the Education of Gifted Underachieving Students
AEGUS serves as an advocacy group on behalf of gifted underachieving students. AEGUS recognizes these students can be found in populations regardless of racial, ethnic, religious or socioeconomic backgrounds; and areas of special learning, physical or emotional needs. The major purpose of this organization is to focus attention and research efforts on able learners whose potential may be unrecognized, undeveloped or not nurtured.
